Germany will give Ukraine 180,000 artillery shells. Berlin will provide the weapons as part of the Czech Republic's initiative to cooperate with Kyiv with arms. Under this plan, Germany will provide aid worth 576 million euros to Ukraine. This information was reported by the German Ministry of Defense on Tuesday (April 2). British news agency Reuters reported this news.

More than two years have passed since Russia's all-out attack on Ukraine. Meanwhile, the country is under pressure due to the cannon-shell crisis. Ukrainian troops must use artillery shells extensively to maintain their position along the 1000 km front of the battlefield. As a result, it is constantly decreasing.

Last month, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced a 478 million euro aid package for Ukraine. However, the aid package did not include the supply of arms under the initiative of the Czech Republic.

"The total value of both grants is more than one billion euros," a ministry spokesman told Reuters.

H said, "Some other countries have responded to such an initiative of the Czech Republic. They will also procure tens of thousands more artillery shells from outside Europe of Ukraine's weapons.

According to the ministry, more than 40 percent of this initiative will be contributed by Germany.
