Nikki Haley defeated Trump in Washington, got her first victory

Former US President Donald Trump has faced a setback in the fight to become the presidential candidate of the Republican Party in the United States. He was defeated by Nikki Haley in the Republican primary in Washington DC.

On the other hand, Nikki Haley won the primaries for the first time by defeating Trump. British media BBC reported this information in a report on Monday (March 4).

According to reports, Nikki Haley has defeated Donald Trump in the Republican primary in Washington DC. This is Haley's first victory against the former president in the 2024 Republican presidential nomination campaign.

Nikki Haley, however, lost to Trump in her home state of South Carolina. But she is the first woman in US history to win a Republican primary. Still, Trump is far ahead in getting the Republican Party's nomination in the US presidential election.

And by doing this, he can probably face the current President Joe Biden in the November elections of this year.

Former US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley won 62.9 percent of the vote in the Washington DC primary. In contrast, Trump received 33.2 percent of the vote.

Despite his loss in Washington DC, Trump has essentially won several primaries. And his victory almost confirmed one more thing. That is - he is going to be the Republican candidate against Biden in the next presidential election.

However, several cases are going on in the court against Trump. Among these are allegations of rioting in the Capitol. If the court were to strike down Trump's candidacy for some reason, the situation could be different. But so far no such possibility is seen.

Although a judge in the US state of Illinois recently ruled that former President Donald Trump is involved in rebellion. He also banned Trump from the state's primary ballot.
