Biden is getting Trump in fame

US President Joe Biden received great news. Seven months before the country's presidential election, Biden is catching rival Donald Trump in several "battleground" states or swing states. Biden received good news in a poll by the US research institute Morning Consult and Bloomberg News last Tuesday. If polls conducted before an election show that neither party has a clear favorite in a state, that state is designated as a swing state. Meanwhile, a top leader of the Democratic Party said, "Biden's sudden shock" in the news of Biden's lead.

According to polling data, Biden was trailing Trump in Wisconsin four months ago. He is now one point ahead there. The two are tied for points in Pennsylvania. Trump led by six points here last month. The two are tied for points in Michigan.

The fate of the two will be determined by votes in other states in the US presidential election next November. Among them, Trump was ahead in Arizona, Georgia, Nevada and North Carolina. But only in Georgia is Trump ahead.

Biden campaigned in North Carolina on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Trump's election campaign has not been set yet, even though he is lagging behind Biden in fundraising.

Trump appeared in court in New York on Monday. His two cases were heard there. One is a criminal case, another is a fraud case. Earlier, on the eve of the presidential election in 2016, he was accused of bribing a porn star to close his mouth. However, Trump has denied all 34 allegations against him. The former president argued that the charges brought against him did not amount to a crime.

His trial will begin on April 15 in that case. Judge Juan Marchan set the date for Monday, denying the defendant's request for time. There are four criminal cases against Trump. However, this is probably the only case before the presidential election in November that the potential candidate of the Republican Party has to appear in the courtroom.

On the same day, another New York court reduced Trump's bond from $46.4 million to $17.5 million at the last minute in a fraud case. He has been given 10 days to deposit this bond amount.

Trump faces 14 criminal charges related to election fraud and 40 felony counts of possession of classified information. In addition, Trump has submitted a bond of 92 million US dollars in rape and defamation cases.

A spokesman for Biden's campaign on Monday called Trump "weak and desperate" as a person and as a presidential candidate. He said election funds cannot be collected from Trump's campaign. Trump is not interested in campaigning outside of his country club. Every time he speaks, he alienates moderates and suburban voters from his dangerous agenda.

Biden's campaign has yet to respond to a poll by Bloomberg and Morning Consult.

Jason Miller, a spokesman for Trump's campaign, said Trump is leading 47 to 43 percent in seven swing states. Repeated polls show voters are embarrassed by Biden's policies, including crushing inflation, loopholes in southern border management, and electric cars that are destroying the industry.

Biden may have been hoping for Trump's challenger Nikki Haley in the Republican primary. The Democratic camp thought Haley might not support Trump by criticizing Trump. But that hope is molasses sand. Voters who positively viewed Nikki Haley may also now lean toward Trump. But Nikki Haley has changed her mind. Nicky, who challenged Trump to the end, said he would support Trump in the next November election.

On the plus side for Biden, the country's economic situation is improving. In addition, Biden recently announced to fight Trump in his State of the Union address. Earlier this month, Biden referred to former US President Donald Trump as a threat to democracy in his speech. Without directly mentioning Trump's name, Biden alleged that Trump and his Republican Party supporters tried to change American history on January 6, 2021. After Biden's victory in the 2020 presidential election, Trump's supporters attacked and vandalized the US Parliament building on that day.

Simon Rosenberg, a Democrat strategist and political commentator, said the election is now clearly shifting and swinging in Biden's favor. 10 recent national polls show Biden ahead. He is now ahead in the Economist poll. A Harris poll showed Biden ahead. Now the Bloomberg and Morning Consult polls also showed the image of Biden advancing. Biden's push now seems real.

More than half of Biden's voters polled by Bloomberg and Morning Consult said they are convinced he can prevent Trump from becoming president. "Negative energy motivates people," said Morning Consult's US political analyst Eli Yokley. A negative energy fueled Biden's campaign during the 2020 election campaign. Those who are supporting Biden today are the ones who expressed that negative energy.
